This Thursday evening Jesper will speak on his practice and his work in the OTIC exhibition. We are delighted to welcome him to Canada and to the New Media Gallery. This is a public talk, free of charge and # 12 in the New Media Gallery ARTIST TALK SERIES.
Jesper Norda is a musician, composer and visual artist. He holds an MA from the Valand School of Fine Arts, Gothenburg. He began studying musical composition but switched to the visual arts halfway through his training. Now his interdisciplinary practice constantly seeks connections and examines the boundaries of music and the visual arts: of sound, silence and emptiness.
'The Centre of Silence' resides in the collection of the Kalmar Kunstmuseum, Sweden. NMG is grateful to Kalmar Kunstmuseum + the Artist for agreeing to re-record this exhibition version for the New Media Gallery exhibition OTIC.
