We are pleased to welcome HitchBOT who we have invited to speak via their Creator (David Harris-Smith/McMaster University) at the Inaugural Opening of Anvil Centre. HitchBOT will have just completed their cross-Canada Tour and flies straight from Victoria to our MainStage.
Note:
hitchBOT was a Canadian hitchhiking robot created in 2013 by professors David Harris Smith of McMaster University and Frauke Zeller of Ryerson University. It gained international attention for successfully hitchhiking across Canada Germany and the Netherlands but in 2015 an attempt to hitchhike across the United States ended when it was stripped and decapitated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
