We are pleased to welcome David Bowen, who will speak on his practice and his work in the space_ exhibition (spacejunk and voyage one in collaboration with Kristina Estell).
BIO - 2016
David Bowen is an award-winning artist and educator. He exhibits nationally and internationally. Bowen works primarily on kinetic robotic and interactive pieces and exploring the outcomes that occur when machines interact with the natural world. He received his BFA from Herron School of Art and MFA from University of Minnesota and won the McKnight Award. Exhibitions include Laboratoria/Moscow National Art Center/Tokyo The Soap Factory/Mn Silver-Echo Gallery/L.A Vox Populi/PA Mu Artspace/Netherlands Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art/Pittsburgh WRO Art Centre/Poland Bozar Center/Brussels Fundacion Telefonica/ Madrid. Bowen is currently Associate Professor of Sculpture & Physical Computing at University of Minnesota.
